Jeff Kizer

USPTA Tennis Professional - Costa Mesa

My name is Jeff Kizer and have been coaching over 20 years with experience around the globe, literally.

I grew up in Saudi Arabia which is where I introduced myself to the game of tennis by finding a dusty old wooden racket in my family's garage.

After dusting it off I quickly fell in love with not only playing tennis but understanding the so many nuances of how the perfect shot can be duplicated over and over. I studied VHS recording of some of my favorite players at the time and found symmetry to all strokes that I tried to incorporate into mine.

Consequently, I am self-taught, and I say this because I feel this helps me be the best coach I can be. When I learned the game, I had to go through so many of the struggles any beginner has to endure so this experience helps me with not only understanding your own struggles but provides patience through the learning process for all of my students.

I have taught in Austria, Germany, Mexico and all over the Carribean.

I am USPTA certified and one thing I can assure all of you if I have the opportunity to see you on my court is that you will have lots of fun, positive encouragement, and we will keep it safe while we smack our best shots any given day. Please feel free to stop by if you see me and introduce yourself.

Peter Weaver

Tennis Professional - Costa Mesa

My name is Peter Weaver, and I have taught tennis since 2021. I grew up playing tennis competitively and first picked up a racquet at age 4. I started playing tournaments around age 10. I played on the high school varsity team for 4 years. Throughout my time there I played #1 & #2 doubles and #1 & #2 singles. I earned first-team all-league honors twice and MVP of the team once. I then played for the team at Orange Coast College.

As for my coaching career, it started when I was 20 years old. I have worked as an assistant coach for a few different tennis academies’ after-school and summer camp programs while I was in college. Peter Smith Tennis Academy, Valter Paiva Tennis Academy, Southern California Tennis Academy for Mitch Bridge, and First Break Academy under Jerome Jones, Susan Nardi & Rick Buchta, just to name a few. I then took my talents to the Marina City Club to be an assistant pro for Elite Racquet Sports under Chris Ojakian and Marie Lenoy. I am currently working as Bradlee Berry’s lead instructor for private lessons and group classes at OC Racquet Sports.

I teach kids and adults tennis and adult pickleball there. The game of tennis has always been a passion of mine and what I enjoy most. Inspiring this next generation of players has always been a goal of mine because I want to grow and expand the sport. What I love most about coaching is seeing these people grow and mature in life and their games. My main goal is to leave a positive impact on their life, and I take that seriously in high regard. I want to push them to be the best players and people they can become.
