Announcing Rising Stars and Tennis Stars LIVE

In February 2023 on Sunday mornings we will be starting our new Rising Stars and Tennis Stars LIVE classes.

Why do we call it LIVE? In these classes there will not be any “dead ball” feeding drills (where the coach lines the kids up and feeds them balls to work on footwork and stroke production).

Instead these new classes will focus on teaching the kids how to actually play a match. This includes things like:

  • Learning to call the balls out.

  • Learning to keep track of the score and how to call it before the serve.

  • Better ball tracking skills to avoid double bounces.

  • Learning and understanding all of the boundaries of the court.

  • And most importantly, the fun the of some friendly competition!

These are just a few of the areas we will be focusing on in these two new classes.

We’ll be using the proper 36’ and 60’ court lines (and of course the appropriate balls which we already use) in each of these classes. After a little bit of consistent practice your child will be ready for circuit or tournament play with the USTA.

In order to sign up for one of our LIVE classes we ask that your child has a basic understanding of all of the strokes (typically 6 months of group lessons is enough) or a staff members approval.

To enroll just visit our Costa Mesa kids lessons page here.
